Public Health Impact Hub
The Scattergood Foundation believes strong nonprofits and public health organizations are essential to strong communities. To help meet the growing need for practical training, technical assistance, and organizational support, Scattergood partnered with the Penn Center for Public Health to launch the Public Health Impact Hub at the University of Pennsylvania. The Hub was created to strengthen the public health workforce by providing community organizations, nonprofits, healthcare professionals, researchers, and government partners with accessible, real-world support in areas such as program evaluation, grant writing, strategic planning, community-based research, and workforce development.
This work builds on more than fifteen years of Scattergood’s investment in nonprofit capacity building. What began as the Building Evaluation Capacity Initiative evolved into The RISE Partnership, a regional collaboration supported by philanthropic partners across Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. Together, these efforts provided nonprofits with training, coaching, peer learning opportunities, and practical tools to strengthen organizational effectiveness, data-informed decision-making, and long-term impact.
