The Scattergood Foundation invests in capacity building because strong, sustainable organizations are essential to healthy and resilient communities. For more than 15 years, we have worked alongside nonprofits to strengthen their ability to learn, adapt, and deepen their impact. We recognize that funding alone is often not enough to build strong organizations. Organizations also need meaningful opportunities to build relationships, develop practical skills, and learn from one another. By supporting organizational growth and collaboration, we help ensure community-based organizations have the foundation they need to respond to evolving needs and sustain their work over time.
