Friends Campus

The Friends campus at 4641 Roosevelt Boulevard is one of the Scattergood Foundation’s most important assets and central to its vision for leveraging its resources for greater community impact. The Foundation envisions a vibrant, community-centered campus that improves the health and wellbeing of all Philadelphians, particularly historically underserved communities in lower Northeast Philadelphia.

Building on a legacy of mental health care dating back to 1813, the campus has the potential to bring together behavioral and primary health care, supportive services, education, community programming, and green space. By thoughtfully stewarding its historic buildings and 50 acres of open space, the Foundation aims to create an inclusive place for healing, connection, recreation, and opportunity for generations to come.
