Poetry in the Park uplifts Kensington, Harrowgate, and Fairhill through art, community-resource connections, and public-safety initiatives that foster wellness, resilience, equity, and healing from community trauma.
Poetry in the Park was funded to expand On the Other Side of the Tracks, providing supplies for community arts workshops and activities that promote creativity, connection, healing, and access to resources for underserved Kensington residents.
Poetry in the Park was funded to provide ten poetry and photography workshops for up to 40 teens and young adults, culminating in an open mic where participants receive writing supplies, printed poems, portraits, workshop photographs, and a program video.
