Through ESL instruction, benefits navigation, immigration assistance, cultural programming, and storytelling initiatives, participants strengthened coping skills, built social networks, and gained tools to navigate life in the United States while preserving cultural identity and fostering belonging.

New World Association of Emigrants from Eastern Europe was awarded a grant to support their Knowledge is Power program. The program, which serves largely European immigrants in Northeast Philadelphia, included ESL classes that focus on key areas of navigating life in the US, as well as health literacy and financial literacy. As a part of the program, New World Association promoted cultural exchanges among participants who are from diverse backgrounds.
