The Korean Culture Community Foundation's mission is to preserve and share the beauty of Korean heritage while connecting people from diverse backgrounds. Through education, wellness, and communication, KCCF builds an inclusive and united community.
Korean Culture Community Foundation was funded to provide culturally grounded wellness and educational programming for Korean immigrant seniors, families, and youth. Activities will include art and music therapy, cultural workshops, intergenerational learning, youth programs, senior gatherings, and community cultural events.
The Korean Culture Community Foundation, together with the Korean Senior Citizen's Association of Greater Philadelphia recieved support for its efforts to foster emotional health and wellbeing in the Korean immigrant community by creating culturally affirming spaces that combine wellness programs, social connection, cultural preservation, and practical support services. Through bilingual workshops and ongoing community outreach, the partner organizations reduced isolation, promoted emotional wellbeing, and supported seniors and families in accessing vital resources.
The Korean American Senior Citizen School received support a monthly bi-lingual meeting for seniors, including physical activity and traditional Korean music. This grant enhanced the seminar portion of the meeting by supporting a Part-time Coordinator who recruited and followed-up with external speakers with expertise in senior care, and developed relationships with senior care providers.
