Historic Fair Hill’s mission is to preserve the historic Quaker burial ground, and assure that its history and the ideals of the people interred there continue to speak to the world, and act as a collaborative partner in the revitalization of the Fairhill community through school partnerships for literacy, greening, and community engagement events.
Historic Fair Hill was funded to provide school libraries, bilingual literacy support, tutoring, books and family workshops; youth internships; school and community gardening; family wellness events; and history education connecting local residents with the site’s activist legacy.
Historic Fair Hill was funded to support bilingual staff providing literacy, family learning, culturally relevant books, and school and community gardening programs for students and families at Julia de Burgos Elementary School.
