Broad Street Love provides stabilizing services to those experiencing deep poverty. Rooted in dignity and care, they offer an open, safe space for hundreds of guests every weekday.
Broad Street Love was funded to expand opioid-focused services for people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, including behavioral health and housing case management, overdose response training, naloxone access, on-site assessments, treatment connections, meals, clothing, benefits, and identity documents.
Broad Street Love was funded to continue its Behavioral Health Initiative, build case managers’ capacity to support guests affected by substance use, strengthen treatment connections, provide overdose-response and cognitive behavioral therapy training, and purchase overdose-prevention supplies.
Broad Street Love was funded to support its De-escalation Manager and strengthen a trauma-informed team that responds to guests in crisis, coordinates immediate resources, and connects people experiencing homelessness and deep poverty with behavioral health, substance use, medical, and social services.
Broad Street Love was funded to support Step Up To The Plate, a citywide collaboration providing nutritious meals, health screenings, COVID-19 testing and protective equipment, and connections to social services for people experiencing homelessness and other pandemic-related hardships. The initiative also partnered with local restaurants and caterers to prepare meals and support businesses affected by COVID-19.
