North Philly Project will utilize Prevention Fund grant funds to bring awareness, education, and informed conversation about Harm Reduction to North Philadelphia.
North Philly Project will utilize Prevention Fund grant funds to bring awareness, education, and informed conversation about Harm Reduction to North Philadelphia. This strategy includes building community resilience with trauma-informed programming that specifically addresses the grief and loss resulting from addiction and fatal overdoses. Moreover, we will emphasize providing trauma-informed care through peer support groups, arts based healing workshops, and specialized trainings, fostering a sense of community and encouraging prosocial behavior among residents in impacted areas. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by formerly incarcerated individuals upon reentry, our initiative also seeks to address their needs comprehensively. North Philly Project will offer support groups and counseling services specifically tailored for individuals who have lost a loved one(s) to a fatal overdose.
