Grantees and partners of the Community Fund for Immigrant Wellness recently gathered at Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture for Rooted in Community: A Celebration of Immigrant Wellness—an evening dedicated to the people, relationships, and collective care that sustain immigrant communities across our region.
The celebration marked an exciting milestone for the Community Fund for Immigrant Wellness: the announcement of its seventh grantmaking cycle. This year, CFIW is awarding $622,000 to 22 immigrant-serving organizations across Southeastern Pennsylvania.
The new cohort includes 18 sustaining grantees and four pipeline grantees advancing wellness, belonging, dignity, and collective healing through legal advocacy, healthcare access, cultural preservation, youth leadership, mental health support, worker justice, and community organizing.
What makes CFIW unique is not only what it funds, but how it funds. Grant recommendations are made through a community-led process in which immigrant-serving organizations help shape the Fund’s strategy and select its grantees. This approach reflects a simple but powerful belief: those closest to the work should have a meaningful voice in directing resources.
Each grantee will also receive a stipend to participate in a year-long community of practice focused on strengthening relationships, sharing resources, and building collective learning across the cohort.
