15 Philadelphia-Area Nonprofits to Participate in the “Implementation” Phase of a $3 Million Initiative
Philadelphia, Pa. (April 4, 2019) –
15 area organizations have been selected to participate in the RISE Partnership’s initial “Implementation” phase. The groups were announced today at an event at the Discovery Center in Philadelphia. Organizations participating in the Implementation component will improve their capacity to collect, use and apply data for ongoing improvement in learning in order to deliver even stronger results.

- The Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation / Read by 4th
- Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey
- Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance
- Philadelphia Youth Basketball (PYB)
- Students Run Philly Style
- United Communities Southeast Philadelphia
- Volunteers of America Delaware Valley
- Wagner Free Institute of Science
- YWCA Tri-County Area
The RISE Partnership is a three-year, $3 million program that will combine resources, expertise and tools to strengthen the effectiveness of up to 100 nonprofits in the Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey region working to improve the lives of people in the area. The program builds off the assets of the community and will provide training and support to build Readiness for measuring and driving program outcomes; Implementation of an intensive program of internal evaluation capacity building; and Support for an alumni learning community to sustain and extend gains achieved.
Scattergood Foundation, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey and Edna McConnell Clark Foundation/PropelNext are joined in this effort by The Barra Foundation, Campbell Soup Company, The Nelson Foundation, The Horner Foundation and Philadelphia Foundation.

Established in 2018, The RISE (Readiness, Implementation, Sustainability for Effectiveness) Partnership supports promising Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey nonprofit organizations. The Partnership provides nonprofits with resources and training to strengthen organizational effectiveness and ensure a greater impact on social, economic, health, and educational conditions in communities, including the effects of intergenerational poverty and trauma.
