Yoga 4 Elkin Elementary School
Kensington Community Resilience Fund
A grant from the Kensington Resilience Fund will allow Yoga 4 Philly to expand its yoga classes to the students at Elkin Elementary School in Kensington to meet that demand and other demands from the school district.
About
Based on our larger goals for Yoga 4 Philly, we are seeking funds that will support certain initiatives in our program which we are trying to grow. We have a need for funding to expand our professional development for staff and increase staff capacity in the program in general. A grant from the Kensington Resilience Fund would be specifically earmarked to support our Yoga 4 Kids programming in such a way that allows it to continue its rapid growth and become a long-term foundational element of our organization. This is an area of need for us, as we seek to continue meeting our goals and objectives of making Yoga 4 Philly a more grounded, foundational organization in Philadelphia whereby we can expand and promote the give-and-take model of fundraising and service that Yoga 4 The World stands for both in Philadelphia and in other cities in the world. We are experiencing great demand for Yoga 4 Kids classes, higher demand than we can currently meet. A grant from the Kensington Resilience Fund would allow Yoga 4 Philly to expand its yoga classes to the students at Elkin Elementary School in Kensington to meet that demand and other demands from the school district. Funds will be used to cover general operating expenses such as registered yoga teacher rates, official yoga equipment, and launching a yoga student ambassador program. Yoga 4 Philly would be able to employ additional certified yoga teachers to administer this program.
