Unidos4Safety Prevention 101: The Prevention 101 kits are pocket-sized safety kits that provide prevention information and material, as well as harm reduction items for individuals with OUD, IV use, and those at risk for Hepatitis C, STI, and HIV infections. Their purpose? Saving lives, reducing overdoses, and increasing chances of achieving recovery by providing local resources and ways to get tested. It increases support for individuals seeking recovery through county resources, where to access treatment, how to clean IV works, how to use a condom, getting tested, condoms, cotton balls, naloxone script, alcohol pads, and skin protectant. The kits target universal, selective, and indicated prevention stages. Our long-term goal is to reduce harm, save lives, and provide access to recovery pathways.
