We fund organizations and projects which disrupt our current behavioral health space and create impact at the individual, organizational, and societal levels.
Our participatory funds alter traditional grantmaking by shifting power
to impacted communities to direct resources and make funding decisions.
We build public and private partnerships to administer grant dollars toward targeted programs.
We provide funds at below-market interest rates that can be particularly useful to start, grow, or sustain a program, or when results cannot be achieved with grant dollars alone.

La Puerta Abierta will expand its capacity to provide holistic clinical support for newcomer immigrant youth in our region who face numerous barriers to these and other services.
Newcomer immigrant youth often arrive to the United States with feelings of grief and loss tied to migration, impacts of trauma in their country of origin, during their migration journey, and/or here in the US. Social isolation, conflict during reunification with family members, and other stressors are oftentimes overshadowed by logistical needs that quickly come into play, such as school enrollment, legal support and economic stress. Access to reliable, culturally and trauma-informed emotional support is a challenge across the community.
Thanks to Community Fund for Immigrant Wellness, La Puerta Abierta will expand its capacity to provide holistic clinical support for newcomer immigrant youth in our region who face numerous barriers to these and other services, enhance its peer co-facilitated community outreach and community-based groups, as well as to build upon and creatively strengthen the safety net of resources available for newcomer immigrant youth through tighter, more meaningful collaborations and enhanced partnerships.
