We fund organizations and projects which disrupt our current behavioral health space and create impact at the individual, organizational, and societal levels.
Our participatory funds alter traditional grantmaking by shifting power
to impacted communities to direct resources and make funding decisions.
We build public and private partnerships to administer grant dollars toward targeted programs.
We provide funds at below-market interest rates that can be particularly useful to start, grow, or sustain a program, or when results cannot be achieved with grant dollars alone.

The Philly Unknown Project intends to cultivate community cohesion and educate and advocate for those who can’t be a voice for themselves.
“Bringing cohesion and bridging the gaps in communities one block at a time.”
As Philly grows stronger as a city and continues to show signs of forward progression in some areas, there are still many areas and neighborhoods/communities that have gone forgotten. Most of these communities don’t have the resources available to make them better. The Philly Unknown Project intends to cultivate community cohesion and educate and advocate for those who can’t be a voice for themselves. We are a grass roots non-profit that provides hand-to-hand resources through several methods. Philly Unknown focuses on individuals with SUD, MH, experiencing homelessness and those coming out of treatment and incarceration. We operate safe spaces such as treatment recovery homes and more, so that individuals have the support necessary to work on their recovery journey. With a grant from the Prevention Fund the Philly Unknown Project intends to continue to work with treatment centers and health centers to provide programming and housing for people who are recovering from opiate use disorder and other addictions. The grant will provide funding to allow residents of our Triumphant Transitions Recovery Homes initiative to have a base start to beginning a new life in recovery.
