We fund organizations and projects which disrupt our current behavioral health space and create impact at the individual, organizational, and societal levels.
Our participatory funds alter traditional grantmaking by shifting power
to impacted communities to direct resources and make funding decisions.
We build public and private partnerships to administer grant dollars toward targeted programs.
We provide funds at below-market interest rates that can be particularly useful to start, grow, or sustain a program, or when results cannot be achieved with grant dollars alone.

Black Men Heal provides access to equitable mental health treatment, psychoeducation, and community resources to men of color.
The Policy Meets Practice grant will support their work to provide safe spaces for men of color to thrive. Through individual therapy, Black Men Heal jumpstarts men’s healing journey by offering eight free sessions to eligible men, regardless of insurance status. BMH also provides a weekly virtual psycho-educational group, Kings Corner. This is a safe space for men across the globe to connect and learn from topics such as Depression, Anxiety, Anger Management, Trauma, Domestic Violence, Police Brutality, Health & Wellness, Relationship Strengthening, Health Disparities, and Financial Literacy.
They also build a broader network of mental health advocates of color by recruiting licensed and pre-licensed therapists of color and providing assistance for licensure requirements such as direct service hours and clinical supervision. Furthermore, Black Men Health encourages men to become Peer Advocates, Community Health Workers, and Certified Peer Specialists.
