We fund organizations and projects which disrupt our current behavioral health space and create impact at the individual, organizational, and societal levels.
Our participatory funds alter traditional grantmaking by shifting power
to impacted communities to direct resources and make funding decisions.
We build public and private partnerships to administer grant dollars toward targeted programs.
We provide funds at below-market interest rates that can be particularly useful to start, grow, or sustain a program, or when results cannot be achieved with grant dollars alone.

This grant will enable us to offer a summer program for youth. The grant will also be used to host two free haircutting days for the community with PA Barber School, and to support support truck rental and gas costs to stock the food pantry and replace or repair equipment needed to act as a safe and welcoming site for community programs year-round.
This grant will support our organization by enabling us to offer a summer program for youth, which will operate 4 hours/day, Monday-Thursday, between June 19 and July 28. A volunteer at Firm Hope, who is an educator, has designed a program schedule that includes blocks for reading, STEM, arts & crafts, and outside/nature activities. The program will be staffed by volunteers, and 100% of the approximately $3,000 included on the current budget is expected to pay for supplies and activities fees. We also plan to host two free haircutting days for the community with PA Barber School after the success of last year’s events, also made possible by a grant from KCRF. These events offer a chance to span generations to bring the community together in conversation, while at the same time providing a needed service. Finally, the grant will be used to support truck rental and gas costs to stock the food pantry and replace or repair equipment needed to act as a safe and welcoming site for community programs year-round.
