Our participatory funds alter traditional grantmaking by shifting power
to impacted communities to direct resources and make funding decisions.
We build public and private partnerships to administer grant dollars toward targeted programs.
We provide funds at below-market interest rates that can be particularly useful to start, grow, or sustain a program, or when results cannot be achieved with grant dollars alone.

By Faith, Health and Healing's programming is rooted in connecting residents to resources and building resilience by addressing community trauma.
By Faith, Health and Healing’s programming is rooted in connecting residents to resources and building resilience by addressing community trauma. By using a trauma-informed lens in building support systems, mentorship, community, and bridging them together, the organization strives to increase access to resources for families most in need and often forgotten. The program uses evidence-based models of peer support and trauma-informed care to address the family unit comprehensively, working with both adults and children.
By Faith, Health and Healing meets residents where they are by bringing evidence-informed harm reduction and substance misuse prevention into communities in ways that are culturally appropriate and respond to specific, unmet needs for participants. The organization heals and strengthens cohesion and connectivity in communities through trauma-informed practice such as offering mental health and recovery services, as well as offering trauma informed individual care. In addition to those services, By Faith, Health and Healing offers yoga, art and music therapy programs. The organization also strives to repair historic strains in relationships between communities and the public sector, including hosting officers from the 24th Police District at our community events to interact with youth and teach them safety skills and foster relationships.
