Black Overdose Resilience Project

The Black Overdose Resilience Project plans to conduct a survey with Black people who use drugs to develop a plan for engaging Black PWUDs who are not currently using any harm reduction services and those who do not identify as drug users even though they consume drugs. With the information gained from the survey, Project SAFE will work to decrease the spread of misinformation and stigma around harm reduction strategies and tools such as drug testing and naloxone through outreach. They will also respond to the specific drug use needs of Black PWUDs by providing information and resources such as safer snorting and smoking kits. Additionally, they aim to reduce overdose deaths by accidental overdose in these communities by distributing naloxone and encouraging drug testing.
