Our mission is to create safe spaces that combine the power of sport and holistic development to empower youth and change lives.
Safe-Hub provides a physically and emotionally safe space for young people to access opportunities and support through programs ranging from early childhood through high school and beyond that focus on building healthy bodies, minds, and futures. As a place-based organization, we operate at the Safe-Hub Community campus strategically located at our state-of-the-art indoor soccer field next to Scanlon Playground in Kensington/Harrowgate.
Our goal is to bring high-quality programming and supportive services to our community, providing a one-stop-shop for families to receive support through the stigma-free platform of coming to soccer practice and community events.
Safe-Hub Philadelphia was funded to expand Safe-Hub Philadelphia’s Collective Impact Program through community events, weekly resource distribution, Parent Cafés, and evaluation support, strengthening social connection and access to services for Kensington families.
Safe-Hub Philadelphia was funded to expand Safe-Hub Philadelphia’s Collective Impact Program, including community cleanups, resource distribution, training, and other supports that use sport and education to strengthen Kensington youth, families, and neighborhoods.
