Project Libertad empowers newcomer immigrant youth and their families in the Greater Philadelphia Area by providing essential, youth-led, and youth-centered legal and social services.
Project Libertad was funded to provide newcomer immigrant youth with comprehensive legal representation, deportation defense, wraparound case management, and culturally responsive mental health services. The organization will also deliver Know Your Rights and mental health education to youth and families.
Project Libertad received support to strengthen its legal, educational, and mental health services for newcomer immigrant and refugee youth. Through bilingual therapy, legal representation for undocumented children, tutoring and mentoring programs, and family case management, Project Libertad helped young people and their families navigate the challenges of resettlement while accessing critical resources and support. Funding also advanced school-based safe spaces, leadership development opportunities for girls, and educator training initiatives that fostered resilience, self-sufficiency, and long-term wellbeing among immigrant youth.
