Project Libertad

Project Libertad received support to strengthen its legal, educational, and mental health services for newcomer immigrant and refugee youth. Through bilingual therapy, legal representation for undocumented children, tutoring and mentoring programs, and family case management, Project Libertad helped young people and their families navigate the challenges of resettlement while accessing critical resources and support. Funding also advanced school-based safe spaces, leadership development opportunities for girls, and educator training initiatives that fostered resilience, self-sufficiency, and long-term wellbeing among immigrant youth.

Project Libertad received a grant to support the Jovenes Fuertes program serving newcomer immigrant youth in Chester, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties. The initiative implemented a culturally responsive social-emotional learning program in partnership with local school districts, while continuing youth-driven programming that fostered community, leadership, and belonging among newcomer youth.
