With a focus on skill development, real-world job experience, and trauma-informed care, Hopeworks propels young adults into long-term living wage careers that put them on the path for healing and financial stability.
Hopeworks was funded to expand its trauma-informed workforce model in Kensington, preparing young adults for permanent full-time jobs and providing wraparound support that helps participants overcome barriers and build long-term economic stability.
Hopeworks was funded to expand its resource navigation and mental health support for young adults participating in its Philadelphia workforce program. Hopeworks will build partnerships with culturally responsive providers, streamline enrollment, and help participants access and sustain mental health care, supporting their wellbeing and long-term job retention.
Hopeworks won the 2017 Scattergood Innovation Award for their Youth Healing Team, which trains young people to lead paid workshops on adverse childhood experiences, trauma, coping strategies, and trauma-informed care. Youth trainers help develop the curriculum and train teachers, educators, and other professionals, building youth leadership while expanding trauma-informed practices across the region.
