CAIR's mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
CAIR-Philadelphia was funded to expand culturally responsive mental health and wellness support for Muslim immigrant communities, including school-based workshops, trauma-informed Know Your Rights presentations, connections to immigration attorneys, and a new partnership supporting a community wellness summit.
CAIR-Philadelphia received support for its efforts to protect and empower Muslim communities across Pennsylvania, particularly in the face of rising Islamophobia. Through legal support, youth and professional development programs, interfaith outreach, and large-scale civic engagement, CAIR-Philadelphia defends the rights of Muslim Americans while building political and community power.
The Centered Program: Community Wellness Hubs for Muslim Immigrants in Northeast and Southwest Philadelphia received a grant to support a resource hub that offered three programs: CAIR’s holistic immigrant wellness programs, anti-bullying partnerships supporting Know Your Rights trainings, and legal assistance for community members experiencing Islamophobic discrimination.
