Earlier in June, RISE Partnership along with The Consultation Center at Yale presented at the Society for Community Research and Action Biennial Meeting.
The SCRA meeting brings together over 700 community-based researchers, practitioners, and evaluators from all over the world to share new approaches to promoting social justice, equity, and positive systems change. This year, Jack Tebes and Samantha Matlin shared some of the work of the BECI and RISE teams in the Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey region to build evaluation capacity so as to strengthen nonprofit organizations for collective impact. In addition to summarizing elements of the Readiness, Implementation, and Sustainability components of the program that help build a sustainable evaluation culture in each organization, they described the work of the new funders' collaborative that was established in the transition from BECI to RISE that is intended to effect systems change in the region to sustain evaluation capacity.
