Building Resilience for Emerging Asian Leaders

Community Fund for Wellness

PCDC will work with emerging leaders to grow vital leadership skills, boost self-confidence, show cultural pride, and gain meaningful connections and opportunities for their career and leadership growth.

About

The Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation’s program, Building Resilience for Emerging Asian Leaders will mold a selected cohort of young Asian Americans into future AAPI leaders. Future leaders will have the opportunity to learn vital leadership skills, boost their self-confidence, show pride in their respective cultures, and gain meaningful connections and opportunities for their career and leadership growth. These skills will be learned in a safe space, in which learning will be culturally accessible, open to all Asian youth from diverse backgrounds, sexual orientations, and career goals. Program activities will be in the Crane Center, a trusted community space in Chinatown Philadelphia. Speakers, and presenters will be a mix of AAPI business leaders, community leaders, young and old. At the end of the program, participants will gain pride in their AAPI upbringing and be inspired to use their voice to help succeed in their future endeavors and have a strong leadership skills foundation.
