Jennifer Pedroni, MS

Director, BDO FMA

About Jennifer Pedroni, MS

Jennifer has more than 30 years of experience in the philanthropic sector and works exclusively with BDO’s grantmaking clients as part of our Grantmaking Advisory team. Jennifer’s work has included leadership roles in philanthropic organizations overseeing finance, grants management and operations. She has also served on, and led, several philanthropic serving organization boards. She brings a systems perspective to her work, recognizing that effective change requires many aspects of the public sector. She continuously monitors and stays active in the field and incorporates promising practices into client engagements, scaling them to meet the needs, culture, and environment of the organization. Jennifer works with funders to review and establish financial due diligence processes, train grantmaking staff, and assess and develop organizational infrastructure. Joining just as the Annenberg Foundation was initiated, Jennifer was instrumental in crafting the grantmaking infrastructure. Collaborating closely with the program team, she was pivotal in developing and refining grants management processes that adapted to the evolving strategies of the foundation. At the HealthSpark Foundation she worked in close partnership with the President, CEO to build the organization that was focused on regional capacity building of grantee partners. Her work there included supporting systems change work with the county and state and expanding support beyond the grant. Jennifer started her career in public accounting at Coopers and Lybrand, working with emerging businesses and earning her CPA. EDUCATION:
