We fund organizations and projects which disrupt our current behavioral health space and create impact at the individual, organizational, and societal levels.
Our participatory funds alter traditional grantmaking by shifting power
to impacted communities to direct resources and make funding decisions.
We build public and private partnerships to administer grant dollars toward targeted programs.
We provide funds at below-market interest rates that can be particularly useful to start, grow, or sustain a program, or when results cannot be achieved with grant dollars alone.

Several weeks ago, we released our Cope. Recover. Grow. Framework for responding to the unprecedented needs during and post COVID-19. The framework is intended to guide us (staff and board) as we continue to support organizations and communities in the coming weeks, months, and beyond.
We have asked funders, service providers, government, and others to join us in using the Cope. Recover. Grow. Framework to guide their COVID-19 responses as well. It is critical that we build a social impact sector that:
• Works collectively to build community resilience by functioning across all Cope. Recover. Grow. categories;
• Draws on the principles of trauma-informed practice and diversity, equity, and inclusion to develop strategies for action;
• Integrates community voice with data and evidence in decision making; and
• Advocates for programs and policies that address and transform structural conditions.
One of the first steps we took in implementing and acting on the Cope. Recover. Grow. Framework was to provide small grants to organizations to help their staff members Cope. We strongly believe that everyone must take action to stay mentally healthy and resilient, especially those working so diligently to serve others during these times. Each of the below organizations received a $2,500 grant to support staff wellness programming addressing their staff member’s needs.
