CEO is dedicated to providing immediate, effective and comprehensive employment services to men and women with recent criminal convictions. Over the last ten years, CEO has placed over 17,000 formerly incarcerated individuals in full-time employment nationwide.|

|June, 2007 to December, 2012||Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice-Drexel University School of Public Health||Healing Hurt People||The Center is the only entity in Philadelphia which seeks to convene systems and institutions to transform the dominant dialogue about violence away from one that is punitive and toward one that is healing.||
We have achieved a number of important goals, including plans for symposia, public relations, and partnership funding strategies. Ongoing goals include establishment of a post-doctoral position and internships in the Scattergood Scholars program

|January, 2008 to December, 2014||Active Minds, Inc.||Emerging Scholars Fellowship||The Emerging Scholars Fellowship is the only national program providing financial support/mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students to pursue their interests in mental health.||
Through the achievement of a number of goals, the Fellowship is strengthening the targeted field of students, raising awareness, and helping reduce stigma and negative attitudes surrounding mental health disorders.

The website has articles, downloadable educational pamphlets, links to other resources, suggested reading, and queries to promote discernment.
|May, 2009 to December, 2012||Philadelphia Social Innovations Journal||Dissemination of Innovative Behavioral Health Ideas||The PSIJ provides a unique forum for cross-generational professionals working in the region’s nonprofit community to share their best practices, as well as the successes and failures of innovative ideas.||
PSIJ can facilitate the application of social innovation criteria to the work of the social sector. PSIJ especially highlights the social return on investment of each foundation, organization, or project featured in Journal articles.

A social return on the investment has been the development of staff education and a career ladder for direct care workers.
|April, 2010 to December, 2014||The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society||Roots to Re-entry Job Training Program||The Roots to Re-Entry Job Training Program provides ex-offenders from the Philadelphia Prison System the tools and support to obtain meaningful employment and become productive citizens in their communities.||
Since 2010, 42 graduates of the program have contributed to over $200,000 worth of landscape improvements to public cultural institutions located in underserved neighborhoods. Additionally, 36 graduates have been employed through the program.
|May, 2010 to May, 2012||Institute for Safe Families||Prevention of Domestic Violence||ISF programming has moved consistently toward prevention, identification, and mitigation of the effects of family violence on children.||
Among other achievements, we have developed the Pediatric Quality Improvement Tool, a resource for pediatric health care settings to develop, implement, and monitor their progress in responding to children exposed to violence.
|May, 2010 to May, 2012||Pathways to Housing PA, Inc.||Housing First Model||Pathways to Housing provides the dignity of a home and so much more at a fraction of the cost of the alternatives.||
Pathways to Housing PA received a grant to help fund an independent evaluation of the first two years’ of the project’s operation.
|June, 2010 to July, 2015||The Consultation Center at Yale University||Building Capacity in Behavioral Health Program Evaluation||The project promotes enhanced program evaluation skills at agencies providing behavioral health services.||
Thus far, attendance by agency partners at each group training and for individual consultations has been excellent, and both qualitative and survey assessments of reported satisfaction with the project and its impact have been very high
|July, 2010 to May, 2016||WHYY||Behavioral Health Reporting||WHYY is one of the only media outlets in the country with a dedicated behavioral health reporter.||
Since beginning her tenure in 2008, WHYY”s Behavioral Health Reporter, Maiken Scott, has generated 466 reports covering many angles of behavioral health for WHYY-FM, WHYY-TV, and NewsWorks.org.
|July, 2010 to December, 2014||Philadelphia Mural Arts Program||Porch Light Initiative||The Porch Light Initiative continues to build upon our core strengths -- using art to raise awareness of difficult and neglected issues while transforming individuals and their communities and improving quality of life and health outcomes.||
The Mural Arts Program serves the entire City of Philadelphia, and works with more than 100 communities in every corner of the city each year.
|October, 2010 to October, 2012||Federation of Neighborhood Centers||Career Support Network||The Career Support Network (CSN): A unique model that integrates employment and health care, emphasizes community centers, fosters small-business connections, and maintains a long-term outlook.||
Over time, the return on investment will be evidenced in the long-term job retention of our participants. To date, CSN has enrolled and serves 53 participants from three community sources and provided them with chronic disease testing.
|May, 2011 to May, 2012||MEE Productions Inc.||Mental Health Communications Reaching Out Thru the Media||The Black Males Engaged and Empowered (B-MEE) project uses a unique online (text-messaging program) and offline (peer-to-peer outreach) approach to address community needs, reflecting the world view and values of today's urban youth.||
Through this project, we have engaged more than 5,000 young Philadelphians of color in dialogue about how to pursue and secure mental wellness and engage the city’s behavioral health resources.

PHFC is 31 Health Foundations in 13 Populated Counties that serve 56 Counties across Pennsylvania by providing a forum to obtain information about state policy, developing a statewide, philanthropic voice to raise awareness and advocate, developing a collaborative group of funders vs. individual efforts, resulting in improved local health funding.
