Scattergood Foundation announces five new board members

(Philadelphia, PA) – The Scattergood Foundation welcomes five new members to the Board of Directors. The new board members will join the existing board members to THINK, DO, and SUPPORT in order to shift the paradigm and practice for behavioral health, and recognize the unique spark and basic dignity in every human. The new board members represent diverse perspectives from the financial, legal, philanthropic, healthcare, and community-serving sectors. They will provide guidance and oversight for the Foundation in both programming and operations.

  • Chris Arlene, MPP, is the Principal of Chris Arlene Consulting, a Philadelphia-based consulting practice that provides analysis, strategy and project management to develop, implement and execute strategic priorities. Chris has developed a portfolio of Philadelphia-area and national engagements with local governments and nonprofit organizations.
  • John Church, CFA, is Glenmede’s Director of Endowment and Foundation Impact Portfolio Management. He provides investment advice and portfolio management for endowment, foundation and not-for-profit clients, particularly those with impact-aligned mandates. He is responsible for portfolio construction, sourcing impact-aligned investment strategies and implementing new technologies and best practices to help E&F clients achieve their mission.
  • Steven Larín, Esq., is the Deputy Director of Nationalities Service Center (NSC). He is an attorney specializing in removal defense, asylum, and immigrant youth issues. He leads NSC’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program and has served as an Adjunct Professor for the Immigration Law Clinic at Temple University – Beasley School of Law and for the Political Science Department at La Salle University.
  • Kim Paymaster, MPAff, serves as a Program Officer for the Pew Fund for Health and Human Services at the Pew Charitable Trusts. In this role, she supports a diverse array of social service organizations in the greater Philadelphia region.
  • Glenda Wrenn, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer at 180 Health Partners and an associate professor at Morehouse School of Medicine. Dr. Wrenn is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and mental health policy expert who has dedicated her career to advancing health equity and fostering community and individual resilience in the face of adversity.
